Level 3

Lesson 2

In this lesson, you will learn how to find a tool in the Toolbox.

Introduction

In the Toolbox, tools are divided into categories according to their task. Some tools are arranged in groups. Only one tool in each group is visible. The other tools in that group remain hidden under the visible tool.

The following lesson will teach you how to find a visible or hidden tool in the Toolbox.

The “Toolbox” is organized by task in the following order:

(a)   Selection Tools

(b)  Crop and Slice Tools

(c)   Retouching Tools

Step #1:

·   Rest the pointer on a tool icon without clicking or pressing the mouse button. This will display the tool’s name.

Step #2:

A small triangle in the lower right corner of a tool icon indicates that there are other tools hidden under that tool.

·   Hold the mouse button down over the tool icon. This will open a pop-up list of hidden tools.

A small rectangle to the left of the tool name denotes the active tool on the list.
