Lesson 2

Installing the Program

This program is a free download from Adobe.

The download process was covered in Lesson #1.

Now we must install the program itself.

Introduction

In this lesson, we will start the installer program. The installer program was downloaded on to your desktop in Lesson #1. Once the actual program is installed, we will register the program.

Double click on the “Installer Icon” on your desktop.

A dialog window will open.

Double click on:

[ Setup ]

Advance through the security warning.

Click on:

[ Run ]

Install the Starter Edition.

Click on:

[ Install ]

The program will now install.

When finished, click on:

[ Finish ]

Click on the new program icon on your desktop.

This will start the actual program.

We have to agree to the legal stuff.

Click on:

[ Accept ]

The “Quick Guide” will now show up on the screen.

The “Quick Guide” gives you an overview of the various functions of the program.

Once you have read this, it’s probably best to prevent it from showing up every time you start the program. Check the box in the lower left corner of the Guide.

Go up to the Main menu and click on:

[ Help ]

From the drop down box, click on:

[ Registration ]

Fill in your registration information.

Click on:

[ Register ]

We need registration again.
Go up to the Main menu and click on:

[ Help ]

From the drop down box, click on:

[ Registration ]

If you have received an “Unlock Code” from Adobe via email, now click on:

[ I already have an unlock code ]

Enter your unlock code.

Click on:

[ Unlock Now ]

Conclusion

You have now installed the free version of Adobe Album Starter 2.0.

You have also registered and unlocked the Program.

The Icon on the desktop represents the Program. You can double click on this Icon to run the program. Those operations are covered in successive lessons.
